It is only recently that I have picked up a camera and taken photos.
Before this my only experience with photography had been either club photos, family snap shots or being told to "Stand over there and pose".
After many people telling me I 'Should get a camera in my hands" I finally did and this account on deviant art is the result.
My medium at the moment is traditional with some vintage SLR's (Pentax spotmatic, Minolta T101) or a vintage rangefinder (Fed 2), plus film and some 'lightroom editing'.
I'm still working out the finer details in my aim and shoot and would love it very much if anyone would offer advice on my work. Besides reading what I can from vintage photography books and little snippets of advice from friends I would appreciated it greatly if you the voyeur were able to voice some advice my way as well.
My Experimental series is nothing more than that.
'An Experiment'
I'm experimenting with aperture settings, films, cameras, lenses, lightroom enhancements, DOF, exposure, subjects, lighting and the list could go on and on...
So, I'll never claim to be a professional and I'm not doing this besides the fact that I find it fun and hope that some of my images will appeal to some members of the public.
Also you could say that there is a side experimental project with this as well, a small social experiment using my knowledge from the art/social structure within deviant art and another structure with some it's members. A subject that has provided much discussion for myself and friends.
Thank you again for stopping by.

Rob has given me his fathers old Minolta and his Grandfathers old Pentax and that got started.
Was only a few weeks ago Rob bought himself a Fed2 and I've been having a go at that. Very strange and very different but something new to try I guess.
Hopefully I'll get a bit more experience and maybe find a course to do and then I might tackle some of the concepts I've got floating about in my head.
